Wildcat Run Golf & Country Club is an established gated golf community in the heart of Estero. Developed beginning in 1985, the community encompasses approximately 584 acres and includes just 450 residences, creating a private residential setting surrounded by mature landscaping, lakes, preserves, and sweeping golf course views.
Homes within Wildcat Run range from condominiums and attached villas to single-family residences and custom estate homes. One of the community's distinguishing characteristics is its generous homesites, particularly among the estate residences, where larger lots, mature trees, and expansive golf and lake views create a sense of space and privacy that can be difficult to find in newer Southwest Florida communities.
Wildcat Run is conveniently located between Naples and Fort Myers, approximately two miles east of I-75. Residents are close to Coconut Point, Miromar Outlets, Gulf Coast Town Center, Florida Gulf Coast University, Hertz Arena, Southwest Florida International Airport, dining, entertainment, and the beaches of Southwest Florida.
Golf
Golf is at the center of the Wildcat Run experience. The club's 18-hole, par-72 Arnold Palmer Signature golf course was designed by Arnold Palmer in partnership with Ed Seay and offers a challenging yet enjoyable layout for a wide range of players. Six sets of tees provide playing distances ranging from approximately 4,342 to 6,912 yards.
The course completed an extensive renovation in 2023 as part of an approximately $8 million improvement project overseen by golf course architect Kris Spence. The project was designed to preserve and enhance the character of Palmer's original layout while improving infrastructure, playability, drainage, irrigation, bunkers, turf conditions, and long-term course maintenance.
Wildcat Run also features extensive practice facilities. A new short-game practice area and redesigned driving range were completed as part of the club's recent improvements, giving members dedicated areas to work on every aspect of their game.
Dining
Dining at Wildcat Run offers a choice between sophisticated clubhouse dining and the relaxed atmosphere of the club's renovated Grill Room. Together, the venues provide settings for everything from an evening dinner or special occasion to a casual meal after golf, tennis, or pickleball.
The Clubhouse provides an elevated dining experience in a comfortable private-club setting, while the Grill Room serves as a more casual social gathering place. Its indoor-outdoor design includes an expansive bar and outdoor gathering areas overlooking the adjacent bocce courts.
Dining also plays an important role in Wildcat Run's active social calendar. Throughout the year, members gather for special dinners, holiday celebrations, themed events and other social occasions.
Amenities & Recreation
Life at Wildcat Run extends well beyond the golf course. The club offers four Har-Tru tennis courts, four pickleball courts, two bocce courts, and a contemporary Fitness & Wellness Center designed for an active lifestyle.
Tennis and pickleball programming includes opportunities for players of varying skill levels, with instruction, clinics and mixers, creating an active racquet-sports community. Bocce provides another popular social and recreational option.
The Fitness & Wellness Center features modern exercise equipment along with group fitness opportunities and private instruction. Beyond athletics, Wildcat Run offers a lively social environment with cards, book clubs, dining events, entertainment, seasonal celebrations, and a variety of activities that bring neighbors and friends together throughout the year.
